Founder, Jennifer Ciarimboli
First introduced to yoga in 1999, Jennifer began her teaching journey in 2007. Since then she has logged over 1800 hours of study, and has led local and regional workshops, retreats and trainings. She is on staff as the Co-Director/Founder of Twin Cities Yoga Collective and founded Balance Yoga studio in 2008. She has been most influenced by her teachers, Sarah Powers, Biff Mithoefer and Rusty Wells and assisted Biff at his Yin Yoga trainings at the Omega Institute and Yogaville from 2012-2017.
Deeply transformed by Yin Yoga and Buddhism, Jennifer has spent the last five years studying and integrating the practice and insight of Yin Yoga and Buddha Dharma Mindfulness practices enrolling in Sarah Powers Insight Yoga Institute in 2014. Jennifer continues her advanced studies and practices under the direction of Sarah & Ty Powers through IYI.
Jennifer’s group asana classes are unique and intelligently designed so students are able to cultivate a deep understanding of their individual needs through breath and both passive and active movement (asana) to increase strength and vitality throughout the entire system. Jennifer’s mindfulness meditation classes present simple, functional and effective techniques to begin working with deeper contemplative practices without feeling overwhelmed and begin living in more presence, authenticity and joy.
Jennifer is committed to sharing her deep love of yoga through karma work with underserved populations and has been leading free group yoga classes outside at the Riverfront Commons since 2009 every Saturday through each summer. She has also volunteered her time and energy at local women’s homeless shelters, the local VA, Northeast Counseling Services and sits on the Board of Directors at the F.M. Kirby Center located in downtown Wilkes Barre since 2014.
Lover of the earth, hot tea, velvety wine and all things blue; Jennifer stays busy with her husband, four children, two dogs, two cats and backyard chicken flock.
